The signing
Today was a very exciting day! My family and I were going to Barnes and Noble on Mira Mesa to get our books signed by the author, I looked down at my book, the cover was cool, smooth, and hard. I looked at the author's name and whispered, "Jeff Kinney." I was happy, no, excited, no I felt like I had won the lottery ticket! I looked at the trees, through the glass. It felt like they would never end, like when you are on a road trip, but we finally got there. The gales of wind felt like really cold on my face. I looked at the loooong line of people, " This was going to take a long time," I thought.
One and half hour passed. People who came didn't always have wrist bands to get a signing. I felt the urge to sell mine, but Tony stopped me. More time flew by when they finally exclaimed what we had been waiting for, "P', they said, "Come in if you have the letter P. We rushed inside like a herd of bulls. But, we still had to wait. But then I saw my good friend, Jason! We talked and talked about games and stuff we liked, but we ere finally on the font of the line. Jason didn;t have a wristband though, but then I thought of a great idea, "I can get yours signed." I said. Jason wasn't so sure, but he handed me his book, I saw Tony smiling as he got his and the one for Sohum signed. i got my book ready, I stepped up. "Hi," I said. "Who are these for?" Jeff said politely. "For Ray and Jason," I said with excitement. After we took our picture we got a key chain and left. "Here is your book." I said to Jason. We were all talking to each other as we headed toward the cafe and got drinks. Jason had to go and we all said bye. But before we left I looked at the signature and smiled a warm smile.
